Tuesday saw the Goblins make a raucous appearance at Chesterfields Medieval Market. On Thursday we begin two days of circus inspired puppet workshops in schools, with evening performances by Teddy and Otto and Squawk at a nearby private festival and a Retail Park. Saturday sees Squawk out and about in Dacorum Town Centre, if your about come and say "hello" as we always like to meet new people.
No time to Blog
Since Returning from France and Belgium where we stayed with talented Bruge based puppet makers Martin and Kat Leaman, we have taken Squawk, the Fying Carpets and Teddy and Otto to The Festival of Gaints in Milton Kynes. We have entertained the holiday makers of Centre Parks with Teddy & Otto and helped the Ministery of Defence raise funds for charity with Epico the Dragon. In between it all we have snatched a little time to get in the workshop to repair, revamp and create Creature Encounters offer for 2014 and beyond.
Tomorrow finds the Hairy Chairs on the loose in Bedford, if you are in the town centre why not come and join us?

"Couac!" (Squawk in french)
Squawk pack up their avery and head across the channel to France this weekend. We are super excited, because like our Penguins they were conceived as an international act, able to transcend language barriers to touch people across diverse cultures. Every time we pack them into their flight cases or load them onto the cross channel ferry, it confirms that our re-invention of this archaic art form, still has the power to speak a universal and eternal language understood by all people.
Hectic!
We had two hectic weeks of creation leading up to a busy weekend of performance. Our summer re-invention of the Penguins spent Saturday at Birmingham's Cocomad Festival, with another team at Cornbury Festival. In addition Sir Aurelious, Epico & the Fairy Queen wowed the crowds at Illford's Fairlope Fair. Finally Sunday found Teddy and Otto working up a sweat at Cornbury in the summer heat wave. Many thanks to the event bookers who put their faith in us, our dedicated freelancers for making it happen and the audiences that made us feel so welcome.
