A lovely image of Jamie and the penguins out and about to celebrate the new film.
Ding dong merrily.
The festive season continues apace, with our three teams crossing the UK delivering wondrous characters to remarkable communities the length and breath of the islands. With one more weekend to go before the big day we are gearing up for the final push, then onto the New Year in Moscow! Many thanks to all our audiences, performers, agents and bookers without whom none of this would be possible.
Its nearly over...phew!
Our marathon summer took us in an entirely unexpected direction, much less performing much more making. All culminating in a glorious return for our Camel, Penguins and Teddy & Otto to Moscow for the Golden Mask Festival. Mother and cub polar bears built for Robin Hill, Red Hare built and performed for Atomic London & Greater Anglia Trains, Minotaur Mask made for Big Brum Theatre, plus one Reindeer and Elf built for South Korea.
The Spring that sprang
After three hectic weeks we arrive at the close of our busiest ever Easter. Ending amongst the historic ruins of Dudley Castle with Smoked! Many thanks to the audiences and performers that conspired to create the many intimate, magical and wonder filled moments they sprinkled across the UK. From egg rolling in Preston to Squawks 4 wonderful days at Blenheim Place, to the many St Georges Day events.
This Easter saw the soft launch of our latest beastie: Highland Hettie. She has returned to the workshop for a bit of post performance tinkering, ahead of a photoshoot and official launch next month. In the meantime you can see our glamorous heifer in action in the images above.
Across the three weeks we were also afforded an opportunity to tinker with the Hopalot rabbits and reconsider what might be possible to improve their offer. As ever Creature Encounter is committed to constant and never ending improvement, so expect big things from our new and improved bunnies in Easter 2020.
Hope to see you out there in our world.
